OUR STORY
My journey to founding Willow & Pine Studios, was a long, and unusual one!
I’ve always been a creative person and learned how to design websites when I was 11 from my Grandma.
Yes, my Grandma taught me! I even published an e-book with her help at the age of 12!
When I was 16, I launched my first business, which was product-based, selling mainly my artworks and prints. I would attend markets and had a large online presence.
A few months in, I realised the difficulty to source a Graphic Designer to work with, who took the time to get to know me and my needs. Hence I went on to study my Diploma in Graphic Design.
Initially, I studied to educate myself for my business. However, I found a new joy of designing for businesses, bringing their dreams to life! That’s when Willow & Pine Studios was born.
In March 2020, we changed our original business name, re-branded and are now Willow & Pine Studios.
From there it has been an absolute whirlwind! From taking the leap into freelance design, to working with businesses who lost EVERYTHING in the floods, it hasn’t stopped, and we are determined to reach and help more and more people.
In December 2022 we launched our YouTube channel and our Podcast ‘Small Business Studios’.
Small Business Studios was created to bring FREE actionable advice to business owners, no matter the part of their journey and to show that behind most businesses is a humble beginning.
